After a distinguished career with Ernst & Young LLP helping many of the leading companies in the US solve their critical tax and financial challenges, Robert Jacobs has shifted gears to start Mehlman Jacobs. He will work with companies seeking to navigate an increasingly complex and uncertain immigration environment.
Prior to founding Mehlman Jacobs, he served as the Tax Managing Partner for the East Region of Ernst & Young LLP. He was responsible for the strategy, growth and operations of a $1 billion+ practice, including the management and development of more than 1,200 Tax professionals in 15 offices.
During his tenure with Ernst & Young LLP, he also served on the Americas Tax Operating Committee and as the lead Partner for several Fortune 200 companies where he worked on a wide range of advisory work with clients across all major industries and sectors.
Prior to joining Ernst & Young LLP, Jacobs was a Partner at Arthur Andersen where he held a variety of leadership roles.
He graduated with an LLM in Taxation from NYU School of Law, a JD from Rutgers University School of Law and a BBA in Accounting from University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
He is also a licensed CPA in the states of New York and Massachusetts.
