Miguel Maldonado

Associate Attorney

Miguel is an Associate Attorney with Mehlman Jacobs. He works on a wide range of employment-based immigration matters, such as O-1, L-1, TN, E-2, and E-1 petitions, as well as EB-1 Extraordinary Ability  and EB-2 National Interest Waiver petitions. He has counseled both individuals and international businesses in diverse industries, including transportation, health care, oil, gas, and energy, and fine arts. Miguel also enjoys using his writing skills to zealously advocate for his clients in complex Requests for Evidence and Motions in immigration matters.  

Miguel earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and his J.D. from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas.

During law school, Miguel served as a Legal Research Assistant for his Constitutional Law Professor and was awarded a public interest fellowship grant from former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Steven’s Foundation, which led to his internship with Lawyers for Civil Rights in Boston.
